PROMO: The Progeny Series

Today's Blog Tour is Presented by FMB Book Tours!

Author Bio:
Ashlynne Laynne has always had a soft spot in her heart for vampires but grew tired of the garlic fearing, sun loathing creatures of old. An avid horror movie fan, she tends to enjoy media and music that is of a younger, more eclectic nature. This was the catalyst for her writing The Progeny Series. The vampire/witch pairing is unique and different when most books pair vampires with werewolves.

The infinite possibilities, for such a wicked and unique couple, intrigued her. There is no shortage of romance, steam and surprises in The Progeny. These books are for adults and contain adult sensuality and themes, but minimal profanity. She loves writing on the edge and teetering between the erotica and romance genres. She thinks of Ascher and Shauna as the damned version of Romeo and Juliet.

In her spare time, Ashlynne enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She juggles the hats of wife, mother, full time employee and part-time writer, hoping to write full time one day soon.

Ashlynne lives in North Carolina with her husband and teenage son.

“No fate other than the one I choose.”

The timeless creed, and tattoo, bore by the Rousseau’s— a vampire clan with
the purest bloodline of any vampire family. Out of this clandestine group came
one who was different, yet the same: Ascher-a half-bloodling— half- human, half
vampire.

Ascher questions the purpose for his existence and which world he truly belongs
to: the human world or the vampire world. Two months from sealing to Ursula—
a prearranged union to a woman he abhors — he’s at his wit’s end. He knows

if he calls off the sealing, the Romanian clan will strike with deadly force, but he
cannot see eternity with a cold empty shell of a woman like Ursula.

Just when he thought life was complicated enough, he meets Shauna— a
beautiful, bi-racial human Wiccan — and immediately develops an unshakable
attraction to her. She makes him feel alive and vital despite his origins and
Ascher makes a decision that turns his immortal world upside down.

REVIEW: Try Me by Olivia Cunning

Title: Try Me (One Night With Soul Regret #1)
Author: Olivia Cunning
Date Published:6/26/12

Synopsis:
For the five sexy rock gods of Sole Regret, finding love is easy, keeping it is hard.

Melanie has no desire to meet the members of the rock band, Sole Regret, but her groupie of a best friend gets them both backstage and then rushes off with the band’s lead singer. Left alone at an after party with a bunch of scary tattooed and pierced metal-heads, sheltered Melanie is relieved when the only normal-looking guy in the room insists on keeping her company.

By the time Melanie discovers that Gabe is the band’s drummer and not as normal as she assumed, she has already made a complete fool of herself. She can’t help but be interested in him, not as a rock star, but as the sexiest man she’s ever encountered. Strangely attracted to his hidden tattoos and body piercing, she wonders what it would be like to spend a night with a bad boy.

Gabe is more than willing to show sweet Melanie there’s more to him than meets the eye. All she has to do is try him. Will they only share a single night of passion? Or will their hearts entangle as quickly as their bodies?

Try Me is the first erotic novella in Olivia Cunning’s One Night with Sole Regret series.

Contains explicit sex, graphic language, and a hot rock star with a naughty and inventive mind

My Review:
Okay, first of all I absolutely loved Melanie's personality. The way she enteracted with everyone in the story just made me smile. She has no problem telling Nikki how she feels about "rockstars and tattoos", then she has no problem telling the lead singer of the band who most girls lust over at first sight how she feels about him. I think there is something so endearing about her as a character and Gabe definitely saw it too.

Gabe is also a rockstar, but Melanie is loving their conversation and banter and soon finds that her perceptions may not be what they seem. I think the development of their relationship, though quick in most peoples terms, actually flowed quite smoothly.

Boy oh boy were they HOTT together! Just a WARNING To anyone picking this up, it is on the short side, but that does not take away any of the steaminess! You will be left wanting more and you will be left wanting to read about the other members of Soul Regret!

I think this series is a great way for Olivia Cunning to keep readers appeased in between the Sinners books. ; )

My Rating: 3.5 Steams

My Review: - SHORT STORY
For what it was this was a hot M/M erotica short story. I personally like a little more background or development in my Eroticas. I felt the connection between Victor and Ian, but I wanted to know where it all stemmed from. Since the premise of this was them being reunited, I wanted to know where it all began we got very little in that aspect. I think a flashback would have really added to this one!

I liked how it was drug out a little and didn't just, BAM, happen. The idea of a little bit of indecision about starting where they left off was nice, it added a little bit of suspense to it.

REVIEW: Giving It Up by Amber Lin

Title: Giving It Up
Author: Amber Lin
Date Published: 6/18/12

Synopsis:
Allie prowls the club for a man who will use her hard and then ditch her. Hey, it's not rape if she wants it. Instead she finds Colin, who looks tough but treats her tenderly, despite her protests.

He tempts her, but kindness and a few mindblowing orgasms aren't enough to put her back together again. Allie has no hope for a real relationship. Two years ago her best friend betrayed her in the worst possible way – she’d be stupid to trust a man again. Besides, she has her daughter to think of, the only good thing to have come from that dark night.

But when her rapist returns, threatening her sanity and custody of her daughter, Allie turns to Colin. Under his protection and patient touch, Allie begins to heal and learns to hope. Colin’s no saint, though, and his criminal past draws danger of its own. Allie must fight to protect her child and the man she loves, hoping her newfound power will be enough to save them all.

My Rating: 4.5 *'s
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

My Review:
Sometimes what you think  you need and what you actually need are two very different things. That really rings true with this story.

Allie was raped by someone she trusted and ever since has used one night stands and aggressive sex to deal.
She is such a easy character to connect with. You understand why she does what she does and just want her to find her happily ever after.

Colin is one hot man. I love the fact that while he is dominant and alpha he has no problem twisting things to torment Allie. I love the way that their encounters unfold and let me tell you they are HOTT!

Adding in a bit of suspense with the arrival with the arrival of her rapest and former best friend, Amber Lin does an amazing job of combining a HOTT Erotic Tale with something deeper than most erotic novels out there. I will definitely be reading more from her in the future.

REVIEW: Bondage on the 4th of July by Bonnie Bliss

Title: Bondage on the 4th of July
Author: Bonnie Bliss
Date Published: 6/26/12

Synopsis:
Millie Newton has been in love with her neighbor and best friend, Brad Cooper for as long as she can remember. She harbored a secret crush for years, hoping for the one chance with him. It was stolen from her when he enlisted in the Marines, and was sent away. The last time he was home on leave she missed him. This time, at the 4th of July block party she knows it is her chance to get what she wants. Only a surprise has come along with Brad, his buddy, Kenny Willet. She also had no clue that Brad is a Dominant in the BDSM scene in Chicago, and Kenny is a Sexual Sadist. Millie decides its time. When Brad and Kenny decide they want her together, fireworks erupt in a 4th of July spectacular that none of them anticipated.

My Rating:

My Review:
Bonnie handles writing a shorter story very well. Was I hoping for more afterwards? Well, yes. But I think with the length of the book it was well balanced.

We got just enough background on Millie and Brad to not be in the dark of their feelings for one another. One thing I do wish is that we learned a bit more about Kenny. He was very much an equal part of the threesome, but I feel like he was in the background for most of the story.

For me this read more as a Menage than BDSM. Yes, Brad and Kenny practice the BDSM lifestyle, but this scene being held at a backyard barbecue kind of hindered their ability to show the extent of what the reader knows they are capable of. It was a bit of a tease and I would like to see them in a club like they eluded to for sure!

Overall a HOT, but short and sweet menage/BDSM story!

PROMO: Willing Sacrifice by Cree Walker

This PROMO is presented by Naughty Nights Press.

The sequel to ‘Whisper on a Scream’, the paranormal, shape shifting erotic book by Cree Walker, ‘WILLING SACRIFICE’… is due out tommorow 17th July

Synopsis:

Sugar Coon is the widowed wife of Jack Coon, her werewolf pack’s former Alpha. After having died because of a long forced separation caused by the Elder’s Council he hasn’t giving up their ‘forever and ever’ just yet. Werewolves mate for life and normally when a mate dies the other is soon to follow, but Sugar is different from the rest. She is a natural Born Werewolf just like Jack, however, for unknown reasons she doesn’t die within a year of Jack’s death. Sometimes she wishes she had.
The haunting from her dead husband starts out as gentle whispers and soft caresses on her skin, but soon as he grows stronger his real intentions are not easy to mistake. He wants what every werewolf wants – a forever mate – and if Sugar won’t die naturally, Jack is willing to take whatever steps necessary to bring them together again.

The Elder Coon, Jack’s Grandmother, summons Sugar in an effort to overthrow its newest Alpha, Robert. For Sugar, meeting Robert isn’t exactly love at first sight, but she does feel drawn to him. A part of her thinks it’s just her bad taste in men.
Sugar is confused as to her role the Elder’s plan to overthrow this new Alpha. She’s wondering if it’s even such a good idea. The Elder Coon was fond of using Jack’s pack as a bargaining tool to control him, forcing him to become her own personal weapon of mass destruction when things weren’t going her way politically.
Trial and error unravels the web of lies and deceit the Elders have woven in order to control her, and attempt to control Robert to further their future conquests. Having decided they both want the same thing they find themselves on the same side when it comes to taking out the main source of the werewolves problems, the Elders. They also find themselves falling in love, something that terrifies Sugar since losing her last mate.

Sugar discovers she has a bargaining chip to play with when she speaks to a witch about a little poltergeist problem. Jack isn’t a ghost – or he’s not just a ghost – he’s a Hellhound. It seems that’s where all the bad werewolves go when they die. Hellhounds become servants to the Reapers who handle them in the afterlife, using them as retrievers for the hard to handle spirits headed south. This particular Reaper is willing to help Sugar take out the Elders if she’ll help him trap Jack, but there is an additional cost to the deal.
Sugar is pregnant with twin girls from separate fathers. One is Robert’s and the other is Jack’s, it seems Jack had one final wish as well.
The freedom of the werewolves has cost Sugar greatly and though she’s made several willing sacrifices in the name of leadership and love, she’s made one she is not willing to forgive herself for. The Reaper has made a request that Sugar love and care for both of her daughters equally, but one day he will return and chose one of them as a final cost for his part in their deal.

EXCERPT

“I have to tell you,” she said with a shy grin, “It’s usually not this easy.”
He looked down at her questionably, “Easy how?”
“This easy to pick me up. I usually make guys work for it.”
He grinned and her smiled grew more, “So you want me too?”
She eyed him, her face bright with excitement. He may have been a little too forward but he was a blunt person, and hardly ever hid his feelings from anyone.
She moved closer, her eyes bright with lust as she said, “I do and I don’t even know you’re name.”
“Do you want to know it?” he asked with a cocky grin.
She moved in close, her wide brown eyes locked with his, “All I want to know is when you can leave? I have a room not even a mile from here.”

I am a wife, mother, and hopeless romantic.
I have been told I have anger issues, but I think it’s cause of my intense love for hockey!
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughters dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, and reading the latest romance novel.
I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, and did I mention I love hockey?
