Giles Etherington, is shot in the morning of August 12th (the glorious 12th). Do the reasons for his death hinge on his personal life, his political allegiances, or his past? His wife is Edith Horton’s best friend and Edith, along with Inspector Greene and Sergeant Brown, finds herself, once again, immersed in crime and mystery in her Yorkshire dales village.
A witty and sharp page turner. I loved the way the author used humor and wit to help break up some of the mystery and drama.
I thoroughly enjoyed the way the mystery unfolded. It was both surprising in places and easy to follow at the same time, if that makes sense.
A wonderfully woven mystery novel set in a different time period that will hit all of your fiction needs.
