Blog Tour: A Round of Golf With Jesus

Christian Inspirational / Devotional Nonfiction

Date Published: July 8th, 2026

Publisher: Acorn Publishing

Faith and golf have a way of humbling us. They both seem more complicated than they are and harder to master than we expect. PGA professional George Miller has discovered that each is meant to bring joy, peace, and grace rather than frustration.

In A Round of Golf with Jesus, Miller invites readers to walk nine holes beside him and Christ, exploring how simple shifts, on the course and in the heart, can lead to transformation. With gentle humor, Miller shares personal stories, devotional insights, and practical teachings to remind us we can find fulfillment when we let go of perfection.

If we trust God’s guidance and focus on being present, golf and life become far more rewarding.

Excerpt

Hello, Jesus. Thank you so much for joining me for nine holes of golf. Do you mind if I start by telling a joke that has you in it?

“No, I don’t mind at all, sounds like fun!”

A gentleman has died and gone to heaven. He is excited to see if there is golf in heaven, and he makes a tee time for the next day.

He tees off and a few holes into the round, he looks over to the hole next to him and sees a guy trying to hit an incredibly hard shot, 220-yard carry over water to a small green with sand traps. He asks his playing partner, “Who does that guy think he is—Jesus Christ?” The playing partner replies, “No, that is Jesus Christ. He thinks he’s Arnold Palmer.”

Before we head to the range to warm up, can I ask you what you thought of the introduction?

“Sure, let’s start driving in the car. You asked a wonderful question: Am I in heaven? and the question was directed to me.

“You sensed that I answered you, but not in your own voice. That’s often how I speak: not through volume but through knowing. A week or two later, it hit you—if you were answering your own question, you wouldn’t have said, ‘due to your lifelong faith in me.’ You would have said, ‘due to your lifelong faith in Jesus.’

“You felt pretty certain that the answer had come from me. This is a great example of how it works to listen and react to impressions that you receive from me!

“To reiterate to the readers of this book—when you and I are talking back and forth, you are feeling sensations, not hearing actual words.

“I liked your introduction very much. It will help the readers understand how you went from thinking of writing a book on golf to believing that you could write a book with me that might ‘bring life to families, blessings to the world, and joy to God’s heart.’

“So, George, before we go warm up, why would you want to have me walk with you on these nine holes of golf?”

I have read in my life, several times:

One Solitary Life

Attributed to Dr. James Allan Francis, 1926

He was born in an obscure village.

He worked in a carpenter shop

until he was thirty. He then became

an itinerate preacher.

He never held an office

He never had a family

or owned a house.

He didn’t go to college.

He had no credentials but himself . . .

Nineteen centuries have come and gone,

and today he is the central figure

of the human race.

All the armies that ever marched,

And all the navies that ever sailed,

All the parliaments that ever sat,

and all the kings that ever reigned

have not affected the life of man

on this earth as much as that . . .

One Solitary Life

Jesus, I am incredibly excited to have you walking nine holes of golf with me.

Thank you!

I love you!

I trust you!

“George, my Father and I love you and trust you! Let’s head to the range and get started!”

PROMO: The False Paradigms of Today and the Timeless Truth of Tomorrow

Essays on Meaning

Philosophy/Spirituality

Date Published: 10-01-2025

Publisher: Sketpika Press

Something’s missing in the world today, and maybe it’s been gone for centuries. The problem: most of us don’t have authentic beliefs or a clear path in life.

What do we believe? Whatever they told us to believe.

What do we do? Whatever other people are doing.

How many lies have we welcomed into our lives without having seriously analyzed them?

It’s the reason many of us feel empty inside—there’s nothing there but convenient mistruths, and at some level, we all know it. We then orient our lives based on these false beliefs, wasting our precious limited time among the living striving for goals that leave us ultimately unsatisfied.

The False Paradigms of Today and The Timeless Truth of Tomorrow by John Bliss takes a steak knife to these common delusions with 13 irreverent essays that rip and tear at the foundations of our collective worldview. Little is held sacred to Bliss.

The essays in Part 1: Your Understanding of Reality is More Fabricated Than You Think dispel our delusions one at a time, including:

          • our mistaken belief in progress,
          • our misplaced confidence in our own rational prowess,
          • our loss of personal identity from group identification,
          • our misplaced faith in science as a true representation of the world, and
          • our morality: what it is and where exactly it comes from.

After carving away these restrictive untruths, Part 2: An Exploration of Truth Across Historical, Mystical, and Philosophical Dimensions introduces a deeper understanding of humanity based on history, mysticism, psychology and philosophy. Some of the topics in Part 2 include:

          • how our religions became second-rate pathways to God,
          • our reliance on logic and how it warps our decision-making,
          • how idealism can lead to mass murder and tyranny,
          • the overriding importance of history, where we’ve been, where we are going and why,
          • our immaterial connection to all people living and dead—Jung’s collective unconscious, Emerson’s Over-Soul, and Varro’s Soul of the World, and finally
          • the bedrock assumption that we all got wrong. Switch this out, and everything changes.

The essays are filled with stories from history, including meetings of the apostles Paul and Peter with the Emperor Nero and Simon Magus the magician, the mystical transformation of Emmanuel Swedenborg, the nineteenth century German intellectual revolution, the establishment of three French religions worshipping not God but Reason and Humanity, the abdication of the World Teacher, and the genocide of the Tibetan culture.

The book is ideal for seekers of deeper meaning, arm-chair philosophers and historians, and those disillusioned with the emptiness of contemporary thought. Discover why your view of reality may be distorted—and how by changing the one assumption on which your entire world-view is based, everything shifts.

About the Author

John Bliss is a writer and thinker fixated on unraveling the mystery of our lives. He is at heart a skeptic, as very few authorities have provided answers that are believable. He distrusts groups of all kinds, as they are no smarter than individuals, who don't know half as much as they think they do. He even distrusts himself, as no human can understand reality.

Some of his major accomplishments include being kicked out of the National Honor Society and the CEO Round Table. He graduated with a bachelor's in History, and a masters degree in mechanical engineering. He founded and grew an engineering company and sold it after 25 years. And of course, he completed his book, The False Paradigms of Today and the Timeless Truth of Tomorrow, after 13 years of research, writing, and rewriting.

To this day, he continues to ask the big questions: Who are we? What’s truly important? How should we live our lives? On most days he thinks he has them figured out.

When he is not writing, he cuts wood and digs ditches. Bliss remains at large somewhere in the mountains of California.

PROMO: The Great Inversion

Social Science / Media Studies; Technology & Society; Philosophy / Ethics & Moral Philosophy; Popular Philosophy; Artificial Intelligence & Society; Cultural Theory; Attention Economy

Date Published: July 1, 2026

For ten thousand years, ideas needed human minds to copy themselves forward. That has ended.

The Great Inversion is a trade non-fiction book about the moment culture stops needing us as its bottleneck. From ancient stories and print culture to algorithmic feeds and generative AI, Jordi ter Woord traces how ideas learn to survive, why the mirror of the internet feels so personal, and what remains human when creation becomes cheap.

This is not a digital-detox book. It is a book about attention as the one act the machine cannot perform for us.

About the Author

Jordi ter Woord is a Dutch writer, solution architect and IT lead with a background in philosophy and artificial intelligence. He has spent much of his working life close to the systems that move information through organisations, and much of his private life wondering what those systems do to the people who live inside them.

His non-fiction debut, The Great Inversion, is about the moment culture stops needing human beings as its bottleneck. From ancient memory and print culture to algorithmic feeds and generative AI, it asks what remains human when creation becomes cheap and attention becomes the expensive side of the transaction.

Jordi also writes Whimsical Weather, a children's weather-adventure series about Cloudy, storms, patience, migration and letting go. He lives in the Netherlands with his partner and daughter.

PROMO: The Needs of the Heart

Self-Help / Philosophy

Date Published: May 30, 2023

Living in this world is hard, no matter the point in history or the dominant culture which governs how society conducts itself.

Wars, famine, political corruption, economic depression, social injustice, civil unrest, all of which leads to the spiritual, personal unrest of the human soul.

And it makes us wonder... How do I, as a person, and we as human beings, work together individually yet collectively to make the world a better place for those who live here today and for those who will be born into this world tomorrow?

Aspiring author Phillip Anderson, author of The Needs of the Heart, provides deep insight into the human emotional spectrum as well as giving deep introspective insight into the emotions and principles he believes people of all races, religions, ethnicities, and demographic backgrounds need to not only make themselves better people, but the world a better place.

About the Author

Hello, my name is Phillip Anderson. I am a young Author from New York City. My love for writing started when I was 16 years old when I was writing in my journals rather than thinking about publishing a book as a professional Author. I graduated high school in 2014 and later in that year was accepted into Morehouse College where I would graduate with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. However, It wasn't until I was in grad school where my passion for writing truly took hold. After completing the first year of my 2 year master's program, I dropped out of the program to pursue my passion of writing. A year and a half later, I would go on to complete and publish my first book titled The needs of the Heart in 2020 with the intent to pursue writing as a full time endeavor.

Blog Tour: Beyond the Broad Path

Embracing the Narrow Way of Certainty in Christ

Religion / Christian Living / Inspirational

Date Published: April 28, 2026

Publisher: Lucid Books Publishing

Is there a single path that can reach both the lukewarm believer and the skeptical non-believer? Beyond the Broad Path argues that there is. This book speaks to believers who have grown complacent, calling them back to their role as salt and light, while also inviting non-believers into an honest exploration that assumes no prior faith or biblical knowledge.

Grounded in today’s fractured cultural landscape, the book confronts the search for truth in a world of distraction, division, and digital isolation—not to condemn, but to reveal what these forces are replacing in the human heart. From there, it leads the reader to life’s ultimate crossroads and presents the only solution – Jesus Christ.

With fresh clarity, this book makes the case that Christ’s message is not outdated, but radically relevant—offering redemption, lasting joy, and peace that cuts through chaos. Drawing from Matthew 7:13–14, readers are challenged to recognize that time is finite and the choice of which road to walk is unavoidable.

If you are ready to trade anxiety for certainty and the noise of the world for the assurance of God’s truth, turn the page. The journey toward the narrow way begins now.

Excerpt

If we are constantly driven by the fear of man, the fear of poverty, or the fear of failure, it means we have functionally forgotten that we have been purchased by the Creator of the universe.

Having diagnosed the sickness of the world and confronted the necessity of choosing a side, we must now address the most fundamental question of human existence: Why are we here?

This is the question that precedes all geopolitical, cultural, or prophetic concerns. It is the question every human heart, whether it acknowledges God or not, attempts to answer through career, relationships, power, or pleasure. In a world spiraling into lawlessness, understanding our God-given purpose is the one anchor that prevents us from being swept away.

The Original Intent

The answer to “Why are we here?” is not found in the complexities of the last days, but in the simplicity of the beginning. We exist by design and for a relationship. The foundational purpose of man is clear in Scripture: to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

We were created for fellowship, which was broken by sin. Every prophecy, every war, every rising and falling kingdom, is merely the backdrop to God’s grand narrative of restoring that broken relationship. “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea I have made him” (Isaiah 43:7). Our purpose, therefore, is rooted not in what we can achieve on earth, but in whose image we reflect and whose love we accept.

Let’s be clear on this: Satan is real, the spiritual battle is ongoing, the crucifixion of Christ was a bloody, humiliating and violent death . . . Jesus paid the price for our sins . . . we are bought at a price. Our hope comes through the resurrection when on the third day, God raised Jesus from the dead and He now sits at the right hand of our heavenly Father.[BW1] [JF2] [BW3]

The Fog of the World: Forgetting the Price

If our purpose is so simple, why does it feel so impossibly difficult to maintain focus? Why do believers often live lives of chronic stress, anxiety, and spiritual weariness, sometimes indistinguishable from those who reject God entirely? The enemy does not always need a spectacular sin to destroy a believer. His most effective tactic is distraction.

We become so consumed in the everyday challenges of life that the eternal perspective is lost entirely. The persistent drumbeat of the world is deafening:

  • The bills are due – The constant pressure of commerce and debt.
  • The job demands more – The idol of performance and productivity.
  • The schedule is full – The tyranny of the urgent over the important.
  • The media screams – The endless noise of fear, anger, and grievance.

The heavy, low-hanging fog of worldly obligation and fear is designed to make us forget the profound and radical truth of our identity. It makes us forget that we are not slaves shackled to the grind but adopted children who have been ransomed from destruction. We allow the burdens of this fallen system to define our worth and consume our thoughts, thereby forgetting the ultimate price paid for our freedom.

We Were Bought at a Price

The most crucial moment in a believer’s life is when they stop seeing Christ’s sacrifice as merely a historical event and start seeing it as an immediate, personal valuation of their soul. God did not wait for us to be worthy; He did not wait for us to clean up our lives, secure the perfect job, or pay off our debts. He stepped into our messy reality, assessed our value, and paid the full amount: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 NIV).

If we are constantly driven by the fear of man, the fear of poverty, or the fear of failure, it means we have functionally forgotten that we have been purchased by the Creator of the universe. “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (1 Corinthians 6:20).

Because you were bought at a price, your time, your talents, and your life belong to a higher purpose—a purpose that transcends the demands of your job or the balance of your bank account. Remembering this price is the only way to break the debilitating cycle of worry and spiritual burnout.

[BW1]This paragraph does not flow logically from the preceding text—seems misplaced and somewhat repetitive. Perhaps it could be deleted or the key points could be merged at the appropriate places earlier in this narrative.

[JF2]This paragraph and this entry are moved from later in this chapter.  I agree with the original entry from Barbara that it doesn’t fit where I had originally placed it.  I have moved it here to see if it fits better, more as a precursor to the remainder of the chapter.

 [BW3]Thanks!

Blog Tour: Fueled By Pain

Nonfiction / Self-Esteem / Memoir

Date Published: January 15, 2026

Publisher: MindStir Media

What if your pain wasn’t holding you back… but pushing you forward?

From abuse and neglect to crime, addiction, prison, and crushing debt—Patrick Simiglai’s story is not just about survival. It’s about transformation.

In Fueled By Pain, ultra-endurance athlete and mental performance coach Patrick Simiglai shares how he rebuilt his life from the ground up using discipline, resilience, and 23 powerful mental techniques designed to help you do the same.

This is not a motivational quick fix.
This is a blueprint for real, lasting change.

Inspired by elite forces like the Danish Frogman Corps, Patrick pushed himself through extreme physical challenges—ultramarathons, rope climbs, and marathon swims—discovering that the real battle isn’t in the body… it’s in the mind.

Inside this powerful book, you’ll discover how to:
• Master your inner dialogue and stop self-sabotage
• Build discipline that lasts beyond motivation
• Develop unshakable mental resilience under pressure
• Break free from addiction, fear, and limiting beliefs
• Turn pain, discomfort, and resistance into your greatest advantage
• Create long-term success through integrity and self-trust

Patrick’s journey—from chaos to clarity—proves that no matter where you start, you can rebuild your life. Today, he is a successful entrepreneur, endurance athlete, and mentor helping others unlock their potential and take control of their lives.

His message is simple—but powerful:

You don’t need a new life. You need a new relationship with yourself.

Pain, resistance, and discomfort are not signs that you’re on the wrong path. Often, they are proof that you’re walking in the direction of growth. You don’t have to feel ready. You just have to show up honestly and keep your word to yourself—especially on the days when no one is watching.

Excerpt

There comes a moment in every long race where the body is not the problem anymore. The legs still move. The lungs still work. What breaks is the story in your head.

This is where most people start negotiating.

You tell yourself you deserve a break. That you have done enough. That no one will blame you if you stop now. The voice sounds reasonable. Friendly, even. But it is the same voice that has kept you small for years.

Discipline is recognizing that voice and choosing, again and again, to take one more step.

About the Author

Patrik Simiglai is a Danish ultra-endurance athlete, mental performance coach, and speaker dedicated to helping individuals transform their lives through discipline, resilience, and powerful inner dialogue. As the author of Fueled By Pain, Patrick shares a raw and deeply personal journey of overcoming adversity and building mental strength from the inside out.

Competing in some of the world’s most grueling ultra-endurance races—including 200- and 300-mile events across deserts, mountains, and extreme terrain—Patrick has developed a unique approach to mental toughness rooted in real-world experience. His work bridges the gap between extreme physical performance and everyday personal growth, offering practical tools for leaders, athletes, and teams to perform under pressure with integrity and consistency.

Patrick’s path to success was anything but conventional. Growing up in a childhood marked by abuse and later struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, he understands firsthand the challenges of feeling trapped by your own thoughts. His transformation—from chaos and self-destruction to purpose-driven achievement—forms the foundation of his coaching, speaking, and writing.

Through his work, Patrick emphasizes that true growth begins with mastering your inner dialogue. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: you don’t need a new life—you need a new relationship with yourself. By embracing discomfort, taking responsibility, and committing to disciplined action, he teaches others how to unlock their full potential and create lasting change.

Originally written in Danish and later rewritten in English as a personal challenge, Fueled By Pain reflects Patrick’s belief that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone and committing to the process, even when it’s difficult. Drawing from years of journaling, coaching, and extreme endurance experiences, the book delivers 23 mental techniques designed to help readers build resilience, overcome self-doubt, and achieve long-term success.

Today, Patrick Simiglai works with individuals and organizations worldwide, inspiring others to confront their limits, strengthen their mindset, and turn pain into purpose.

Blog Tour: The Mind-Spirit Bible Practice

A Trauma-Informed DBT Inspired Guide to Renew the Mind & Spirit

Christian Living / Nonfiction / Spiritual Growth

Date Published: April 21, 2026

Publisher: Lucid Books Publishing

Are you a person of faith who loves God deeply but still feels overwhelmed by anxiety, shame, trauma, or emotions that seem too heavy, too human, or too unholy? Do you ever feel at conflict between your therapy and theology?

The Mind-Spirit Bible Practice was written for you.

In these pages, author and mental health advocate Nicole Doña bridges the gap between faith and psychology—showing how Scripture and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can work together to bring emotional and spiritual wholeness. Drawing from her own story of healing and resilience, she offers practical tools and biblical insight to help you regulate emotions through grace, find God’s presence in your pain, and live from “the mind of the Spirit” (Romans 8:6).

Whether you’re a believer, clinician, or ministry leader, this book is a resource for experiencing lasting healing—where emotional health and spiritual transformation finally become one.

Excerpt

I still remember the taste of that morning—oatmeal, coffee, and fear.

It was March 2015, my first day returning to work after six months on disability. I had just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. My first boyfriend since becoming a Christian—the one I trusted enough to tell—broke up with me over text when I shared my diagnosis. My psychiatrist was exploring different cocktails of medications that left me dizzy, sleepless, and hollow. I’d been laid off from a job I loved, creating youth-leadership programs for teens and young adults with trauma and schizophrenia. During those months, I sank into the couch and into despair, binge-watching The Walking Dead until I felt like a zombie myself.

When I finally accepted a temporary job at a real-estate firm—far from the purpose-filled career I’d hoped for—I thought I was starting over. But as I sat on my red couch that morning, oatmeal bowl in hand, I realized I was still just trying to survive.

My roommate slept, and her tiny chihuahua, “Coco,” snored on the floor. Everything looked peaceful. But inside, it was war.

“You’re disgusting.”

“No man will ever want you.”

“You used to be strong, now you’re weak.”

“God’s disappointed in you.”

The accusations came like waves until I could hardly breathe. My chest tightened, my legs buzzed with energy, my mind screamed RUN, though there was nowhere to go. I was sitting in safety, but my body and mind believed I was in danger. After all, wherever I could run, my mind would follow.

That’s when I began to understand: I wasn’t just battling a diagnosis. I was battling a divided mind.

One part—the Mind of the Flesh—was ruled by emotion without truth: shame, fear, and self-loathing disguised as repentance. Another—the voice of Worldly Wisdom—was ruled by logic without grace: perfectionism, control, and the illusion that if I could just understand myself, I could fix myself. And somewhere beneath both was a whisper I hadn’t yet learned to trust—the Mind of the Spirit—quiet but steady, saying, “Breathe. You are still here. I have not given up on you.”

At that time, I didn’t know how to describe these three voices. I just knew my mind was constantly at war with itself. Yet even in that chaos, I kept reaching for my Bible. I couldn’t always feel God in the words, but I knew I needed them like oxygen.

Every morning, I opened Scripture even when my heart felt numb, and my thoughts screamed louder than the gentle whispers of God’s Word. Sometimes I read only a few verses before I broke down crying. Other times, I clung to one line—reading it over and over and struggling to believe it.

The Bible wasn’t a comfort at first; it was an anchor. It didn’t stop the storm, but it kept me from floating away.

During that same season, I also began doing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) modules once a week. Eventually, I would complete all of them over the course of 18 months. DBT gave me practical tools to help me observe, name, and navigate the emotional chaos I lived in daily.
One skill stood out above the rest: the concept of Wise Mind[1]—the balanced place between Emotion Mind[2] and Reason Mind, where both truth and feeling can coexist.

At first, I didn’t realize it, but what DBT called Wise Mind mirrored what Scripture was teaching me about the Mind of the Spirit. Both invited me to pause between reaction and response, to breathe, to notice, and to let truth—not fear—be my guide. Both taught me that peace wasn’t found in suppressing emotion or mastering logic, but in integrating them under something higher—what DBT called “wisdom,” and what the Bible called “the Spirit of Truth.”

[1] Wise Mind is a core concept in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), representing the balanced integration of emotion and reason. It is described as the “inner wisdom” available when a person is simultaneously aware, centered, and able to access both logic and emotion without being dominated by either (Linehan 2015).

[2] Emotion Mind in DBT is the state where feelings are intense, overwhelming, and often interpreted as facts. It is marked by impulsivity, reactivity, and difficulty accessing logic or long-term perspective (Linehan 2015).

Power of the Mind

Our brain is the most powerful instrument and machine in existence. It is said by scientists to be the ultimate supercomputer, so powerful and yet so mysterious that doctors and scientists are completely baffled by the brain’s functions and capabilities, as they are still in the complete infancy stages of understanding even the very basic function of the human brain. Scientists are so baffled and astonished by the brain’s complexities and mysteries that they can explain the Milky Way and other galaxies and stars trillions of miles away, but are just beginning to learn the basic function and power of our brain. There are many wonders to explore in the brain and in our minds. Many wonders have yet to be explored, and someday soon, we will unlock the next phase of the evolution of the mind. Our mind is the most powerful instrument that we could use readily at our disposal. The way we think and the decisions we make will determine our destination. It doesn’t matter whether we have a positive or negative mindset; our thoughts and actions will dictate our future. If we have a negative mindset and live out a negative lifestyle, our world will continue to be filled with nothing but complete turmoil and chaos. With a negative outlook, we will attract nothing but negative people, which in turn, will keep us locked in negative situations, which will eventually end with our downfall and demise. The same applies if we have a positive mindset. We can and will attract positive people along with favorable situations that will quickly take place within our lives.

We shall receive any blessings that will come to us the moment we decide to change our mindset from a negative setting to a positive position of thoughts and actions.
