Simon Rand, generally regarded as the least respected restaurant critic in America, dies from a heart attack in San Francisco. Or did he expire from natural causes? The answer kicks off another wild Pinky and Bear mystery that takes the dynamic team to Camden, New Jersey, Copenhagen, Denmark, and SkellefteƄ, Sweden. During their travels, Pinky becomes personally acquainted with a Mafia Don, his oversized thugs, and a helicopter ride over the Atlantic, while Bear, Flo, and Ettamae visit Sweden where Bear discovers more well-developed blondes than he thought existed in the entire world.

Review

Ken Dalton keeps readers engaged from beginning to end with this Mystery novel.

I enjoyed the fact that the characters were multi-dimensional and overall just fun to read about. It is a series that has main characters that you will want to go back and read other installments just to see the other cases they have had.

This story is well thought out and flows nicely. There is plenty of mystery and twists that will keep the reader guessing. You will find yourself struggling to put together all of the pieces right along with Pinkie and Bear.
