Come with me to Bethlehem. A sleepy hamlet in the mountains of Southern Israel. Here we will find a newborn baby lying in a manger surrounded by his parents and barn animals.
It doesn’t seem like the most idyllic Christmas. There is no tree, no presents, and no stockings hung by the fireplace. Everything is ordinary. Jesus lying in a mound of hay is the furthest thing from extraordinary. Yet, the Savior of the world begins his first moments here in this barn, in this village.
During this journey, you will discover the true meaning of the season. It’s not the glow of lights or the smell of pine needles. We celebrate Christmas because of Jesus Christ, God’s gift to us.
Excerpt
The blessing that God spoke over Mary was
not just for her only; it is a blessing that God speaks over us daily. When you
are faithful in the everyday routine of life, you are highly favored by God.
The Holy Spirit confirms the promise that God is with you by leading and
guiding your steps. Stop living as if you are what you will always be right
now. God has not brought you this far just to leave you. Rise and declare that
if God before you, who dare be against you. Children of the Most High King must
live as if they are royal heirs. They do not live based on their life
circumstances; they live based on their Father’s character. Embrace the highly
favored life by submitting your steps to the King and trust Him to work all
things out for your good and his glory.
